The Gloucester Housing Authority was formed in 1948 and is proud of its long history of promoting and providing adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free of discrimination. Under the strong leadership of our 5 member Board of Commissioners we currently assist over 1300 households in the Cape Ann area through our Public Housing, Rental Assistance, Homeownership and Resident Service programs.
We continue to ensure that concern and compassion for our fellow citizens are as much a part of our heritage as the sea, and that our goal of decent housing for all will steer us confidently into the future. We are a good neighbor.
